PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Police are asking the public for more information after they said they received “valuable information” on the disappearance of a 45-year-old man who has been missing for months.
Detectives said they continue to actively search for Jay Ketter, also known as JR of Dribble, who was reported missing in February.
Ketter was last seen in the area of East Warrington Avenue and Arlington Avenue in the Allentown neighborhood of the city. He is described as 6 feet tall, approximately 200 pounds, with brown-hazel eyes and a brown-grayish beard.
Police are now asking for additional tips from the public to further their investigation.
“He’s not alive. Someone has something to do with it,” Angela Bigos told Channel 11.
To Jay Ketter’s family — there’s no question someone murdered him.
According to Channel 11 sources, investigators believe he’s dead, and the circumstances around his death are suspicious.
“How could somebody leave a human being out here to rot away? When his poor family is out here suffering and hurting every day,” Donna Graziano, Ketter’s sister, also told Channel 11.
Sources also say, Ketter’s body is likely somewhere in the Allentown neighborhood, which is where he had lived for years.
His family posted a photo of him on his house, to remind the community that he’s missing.
“This is terrible that our family is going through this right now. Our family is so heartbroken, and somebody out there knows something. We need some closure,” Bigos added
The family first notified police of Ketter’s disappearance when he had gone days without contacting his elderly mother who is dealing with a long-term illness.
“There wouldn’t be a day that would go by. His mother’s sick. This is his mother, everything in life,” she said,
Tonight, they’re begging for someone to come forward.
“Please turn yourself in… please. We are begging you. We need justice. We need closure for my family.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Pittsburgh Police Special Victims Unit at 412-323-7141.
